Message on the Occasion of the 4th Anniversary of the Passing of the Late Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim

Message on the Occasion of the 4th Anniversary of the Passing of the Late Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

The late Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim is one of the renowned figures whose name and memory are eternally etched in the contemporary history of our country. What ensures the enduring legacy of great leaders in the golden pages of a nation's history is the depth of their commitment to the honor, unity, elevation, and prosperity of their people and land.

The history of every nation is filled with politicians, warriors, and actors who have played a part in shaping various events of their homeland. However, among them, those achieve lasting fame who have undertaken a historic and commendable role in alleviating the suffering of the people, enhancing the welfare of society, and strengthening the ranks of national solidarity. Those who sacrificed themselves so that others might achieve peace and tranquility.

Countries struck by the calamities of foreign invasion and internal crises face severe vulnerabilities. One of the greatest threats to a nation's existence is the emergence of internal divisions and the weakening of the fabric of national cohesion and unity.

Rebuilding the ruins of war, organizing economic conditions, overcoming poverty and unemployment, revitalizing industry, and dozens of other tasks are all made possible only if the nation's forces unite toward the supreme interests of the country—preserving unity, eradicating fragmentation, and leaving no room for futile disputes and harmful conflicts. Those who triumph over such challenges and become heroes of cooperation and solidarity, demonstrating a model of harmony through their actions and words, prove their worthiness for immortality in their country's history.

The late Marshal Fahim was one of the noble and distinguished personalities of this land who stood by his people during difficult days. He strove for the harmony of various strata of our nation, worked tirelessly for the establishment of a governing system in Afghanistan, and acted with the sense of responsibility befitting a national figure until the final days of his life. It is for this reason that the character of the late Marshal is respected today by all ethnicities and segments of this country, and minor debates do not diminish the stature of that great man.

I pray to Almighty God for the eternal peace of the late Marshal, further success for his distinguished son, and the continuation of his path by his comrades and colleagues.
