Message on the 16th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Alhaj Abdul Qadeer and the 10th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Alhaj Abdul Haq

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Dear compatriots, respected sisters and brothers!

Today, we honor two tireless, fighting, mujahid, and martyred personalities of our country whose brilliant records will remain eternal in the history of the Afghan people's Jihad. Martyr Haji Abdul Haq and Martyr Haji Abdul Qadeer were pioneers of the Jihad in the east of the country and played an unforgettable role in mobilizing the people and keeping the frontlines of battle warm.

The role of this mujahid family during the period of the Afghan people's Jihad against the invasion of the Red Army was prominent and significant. These two mujahid brothers were also actively involved in another stage of the country's history, when the Afghan nation was fighting against international terrorism, and they sacrificed their lives in this pursuit.

Martyr Haji Abdul Qadeer served as the Vice President and Minister of Public Works in the Transitional Government, striving to rebuild the destructions of war. Unfortunately, the enemies of the Afghan people could not tolerate the presence of this compassionate personality and martyred him.

Martyr Haji Abdul Haq also endeavored during the initial stages of the struggle against international terrorism—at a time when our people were still under the lash of terrorism and their supporters—to organize a broad front against them and rescue the people from their captivity. Unfortunately, this national hero was captured and martyred by the enemies of the Afghan people.

Today, the memory of these two esteemed martyrs is celebrated at a time when, fortunately, their wishes for the freedom of the country and the establishment of an elected and democratic system have been fulfilled, and our country is moving on the path of stability, growth, and progress.

May the memory of these two martyrs of the path of Afghanistan's honor and pride be cherished, and may their legacy be eternal!
