Message on the Occasion of the 21st Anniversary of the Passing of Ayatollah Sayed Ali Beheshti
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. I offer my condolences to the family, friends, and followers of Ayatollah Sayed Ali Beheshti, a refined and renowned scholar of our country, on the 21st anniversary of his passing.
The late Beheshti was one of the influential scientific, political, and jihadist figures of the country, leaving behind a brilliant record in the promotion of Islamic teachings. He was a practicing scholar who, by establishing religious schools, created centers for intellectual development and suitable platforms for education in the remotest parts of the country.
His actions in teaching Islamic sciences and his writings on jurisprudence (Fiqh), principles of jurisprudence, ethics, and religious topics are considered a valuable and lasting legacy. Alongside his dedication to teaching and writing, Ayatollah Beheshti stood at the heart of the people's Jihad and fought sincerely for justice and freedom.
Today, we are pleased that the hopes and aspirations of the country's scholars and political figures for balanced development, justice, and equality are being realized. After years of deprivation, Central Afghanistan has emerged from its "geographical prison" and has taken its place as the heart and highway of the country.
Over the past three years, work has been underway on more than ten major roads in Central Afghanistan. This initiative will cause the high walls of that natural prison to crumble. In the light of the Constitution and by observing the principles of justice, participation, and balanced development, Afghanistan is moving in the right direction. The empathy and unity of the nation will be the guarantee of victory against the imposed war and the continuous conspiracies of the enemies.
