The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan considers the protection of human rights as one of its most fundamental duties. It holds itself obligated to protect the citizenship rights of all Afghans and strives to prevent human rights violations while strengthening the rights of its citizens.
We are aware that over the past several decades, the country and people of Afghanistan have witnessed appalling conditions and human rights violations, enduring difficult circumstances in this regard.
Therefore, on this International Day, the Government of Afghanistan remembers those who have fallen victim to human rights violations. We reaffirm our commitment to preventing the recurrence of such violations and breaches of human rights, emphasizing that achieving this goal requires the strengthening of the rule of law and an effective judiciary in Afghanistan.
The Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has taken effective and continuous steps toward preventing human rights violations and strengthening the rule of law and an efficient judiciary; it will continue to spare no effort in the future to achieve this objective.
